A journey through eras and trails
La VignaStorica is much more than an event: it’s an invitation to rediscover cycling as pure pleasure, far from the logic of competition. It’s an opportunity to explore the charm of our territory, pedaling leisurely along routes that alternate between secondary roads and dirt paths. Each stage becomes an experience that combines sport and tradition, with stops at wineries and in the most picturesque villages of Franciacorta. Everything comes to life in Rovato, in the splendid setting of Piazza Cavour, which transforms into a stage dedicated to those who love cycling, good food, and authentic emotions.
Rovato, the beating heart of Franciacorta, is a place where tradition and authenticity meet. Surrounded by gentle hills and prestigious vineyards, it’s the home of unique flavors and warm hospitality. Here, every corner tells a story, every dish celebrates the territory, and every glass of wine invites you to toast to the beauty of life.

Among the most representative specialties of the Franciacorta hinterland, Rovato’s Beef in Oil stands out. This main course has its roots in humble cuisine, but is still today a beloved symbol of local tradition.

To prepare an impeccable beef in oil, it’s essential to select high-quality ingredients. The key cut is the “priest’s hat”, a tender beef cut, which is first browned in a flavorful sauté and then slowly cooked in a mix of water and oil. The result? An explosion of flavor that makes this dish a culinary icon of Franciacorta.
